We're Very Sorry for Our Error

We have an important announcement to make. If you are already a New Moon Girls magazine subscriber, but you don’t have an online membership yet, you are now eligible to join online for free! To do so, your parent must have your Customer # ready (it’s located on the shipping label of your July/August magazine) and call 800.381.4743.

But we also must apologize. There’s a big mistake in the phone number printed in the July/August magazine. One digit was mistyped on p. 7 & 15, giving you the wrong number.

The CORRECT NUMBER to call is 800.381.4743 to give permission for a girl to join the NewMoon.com web community. Please do not call the mistyped number that’s in the magazine; it is not owned, operated, or in any way associated with New Moon Girl Media, Inc. or New Moon Girls.

Please accept our apologies, and be sure to use the correct number, 800.381.4743. Questions? Email help@newmoon.com. Thanks for understanding and for supporting New Moon Girls!

Growing Up = Some Serious Stuff

Hey Girls! I’m feeling a bit serious today. I talk  a lot about the great creations girls post in places like the Moon Glow Art Gallery and Poetry. It’s wonderful to celebrate our creativity as we grow! And I love all the joyful expression I see on New Moon.

But I also know that there are lots of things girls have to deal with that aren’t so fun or celebratory. On the Love Remembers message board, I see girls talking about really tough topics–like having a parent who lives so far away they can only visit once a year, learning that a pet has cancer and is going to die, feeling terrible loss when a best friend moves away, and many more.  In Ask a Girl, I see girls asking for advice on friendship conflicts, feeling fearful about having their first period, hating to watch their parents fighting, and lots of other tough topics.

I’m glad New Moon is a place of celebration and creative expression. And I’m also really glad it’s a safe place where girls can ask their tough questions, express their sadness, yell out their frustrations, and get support from other girls who understand. I know that being young can’t protect a person from loss, hurt, or confusion. And when those tough times come along, we all need someone we can trust to turn to. Thank you, New Moon Girls, for being there for each other.

New Moon Trailer: Are you watching?

I know lots of you are big fans of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga. And I know some of you don’t like these books at all. On New Moon, I’ve seen tons of passionate discussion about the Twilight books and movie. So when I read that the New Moon movie trailer was released at the MTV movie awards to a flurry of excitement from fans, I wondered what New Moon Girls would have to say.

So I’m curious. Are you looking forward to watching the New Moon movie when it comes out? Tell me what you think about Twilight and New Moon on the Shout Out message boards. Whether you love them or hate them, you can chat about your feelings at Rants and Raves. And remember, it’s always okay to have differences of opinion, as long as we remember to listen and be respectful of one another.
