And Francesca explains what the greenhouse effect is in We’re Just Warming Up. And you can share your own stories about the environment at Spotlight all this week!

What are New Moon Girls sharing right now? Audrey gets creative with an environmental message in her poem Go Green!!! And Louisa’s poem, A Bee’s Perspective, has us buzzing with excitement! Listen to Virginia singing an original song she wrote, The Burrito Song.

Play the New Moon Mission on Dizzywood

logo_dizzywood1Hey New Moon Girls! I’ve noticed from your comments on New Moon that some of you already enjoy playing on Dizzywood, an online game where kids explore magical adventures. So you’ll be excited to hear that New Moon and Dizzywood are doing something really fun together!

dizzywood_pic1Today Dizzywood launched a special New Moon mission! Two good friends in the Dizzywood world are suddenly not speaking. They need your help to solve their problem and make things right. I know from reading all your great questions and advice on Ask a Girl that you girls are great at solving problems and helping each other! You’ll be able to put those skills to the test in this fun, new Dizzywood mission. And you can even win a prize for completing the mission successfully!

If you’d like to try this great game, ask your parents to check out Dizzywood with you and help you to Get Started. Don’t forget, they’ll need to read Dizzywood’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and give their permission so you can play.

Once you sign in to play, you can find the special New Moon mission by clicking on the Missions tab, which is located on the right-hand side of the screen (it has a compass on it). After clicking on the Missions tab, scroll down to find the “Help Friends with a Misunderstanding” mission, under “New Things To Do.”

Check Out the New Stuff!!!

Today I have a super exciting announcement to make! We’ve added new features to New Moon Girls! I like them all so much, I’m not sure which one I’m most excited about!

When you sign on today, you’ll see:

wallpaperNew Wallpaper! If you’ve been a member from the beginning, you know the background color at New Moon has always been solid blue. I like blue. But I also like variety. Today you’ll notice the blue is a little more interesting. And tomorrow you’ll see a whole new look as the wallpaper changes color. Cool! Take my color poll and wallpaper poll to let me know what you think.

I’m New Feature! You’ve been asking for a way to tell who is new on im_newthe site, and I’ve been listening! Today I’m so excited to announce that new members will have their avatar and My Room information featured on the front page. So now, every time you sign in, you’ll get to see who is new at New Moon Girls. Be sure to welcome new girls to our great community by visiting their walls and leaving them their first stickers!

game1Games! Games! Games! Last, but most certainly not least, today we introduced a whole bunch of new games! It’s important to have fun, and these games are a great way to do it. But be prepared for a challenge. Some of them are pretty tricky!
